Being a patron of “Who’s that nude in my living room”
Since April 2009, Idan Wizen, via the project “Who’s that nude in my living room”, has been photographing relentlessly, all people wanting it, in order to change mentalities and a priori on the body, on modesty, on the criteria of aestheticism.
More than 1700 people have already dared to pass the course of the shooting and, for most of them, have lived an intense experience, which profoundly transforms the look on themselves, the look that the other can give them, the perception of their being.
On the artistic level, the project has had many successes. From Paris to Osaka, via Miami or New York, the exhibitions, in art fairs or in galleries, have attracted a large audience with a benevolent look at the photographer’s great art prints. Photography professionals have also recognized Idan Wizen’s unique style with numerous international awards.
Not wanting to make any discrimination by money for the models by making the shootings pay, the project is based on the economic model of the purchase of works of art.
If this model allowed us to develop the project for 10 years, its main disadvantage is that it does not provide any certainty as to the results to come. The instability and irregularity of revenues prevent us today from being able to invest serenely in the project and to develop it further.
This is why we decided to set up a “Patron” plan, allowing us to have visibility on the investments that can be made. This sponsorship offer allows those who adopt it not only to support a project close to their hearts, to invest in the works of Idan Wizen but also to take advantage of many events organized around the project.
We could obviously run with a wealthy patron who would support us alone but, at a time of crowdfunding, we preferred to appeal to all the individuals who liked the project. Like the volunteers who come to pose, the project will benefit from being supported by a large number of people. It is this broad support that will allow the project to continue.
